As we begin to approach the fall season, I want to thank you for your business and the confidence you place in Pilot Media to meet your marketing and advertising needs.
We are excited to share important news regarding the evolution of our company and how this change will benefit you. We are delighted to announce that our company name will be changing to Virginia Media. This name change will allow us to present ourselves as the leader in Virginia for news and information as well as the premier provider of marketing solutions for regional and local businesses. This will not replace our current mastheads (The Virginian-Pilot, Daily Press, The Virginia Gazette, Tidewater Review) and consumer-focused brands (Distinction, VA Growler, Inside Business, Style Weekly, The Coast, etc.) but will serve as the overarching brand to showcase our extensive audience reach and capabilities across the entire state.
Oct 1 represents a milestone date for Virginia Media as all of The Pilot’s products, services and processes will be integrated to one system. While our current rate card will remain intact, it will be amended and updated. The most significant update includes new ad sizes for some of the standard modular sizes. The intent is to keep pricing and ad sizes as similar as possible as we convert to a new front-end system. Additionally, you will begin to see a new format for your invoice and will receive only one invoice for all of Virginia Media.
Our commitment to our customers and the communities we serve remains our highest priority. Your sales representative will now be able to serve your needs across all of our print, digital and experiential products and services. As Virginia Media, with local expertise and recognition as a Google Premier Partner, we will be able to provide our customers with the best marketing solutions and services available to the market today.
