Inside Business is accepting nominations for the 2026 Health Care Heroes Award, honoring individuals, companies and organizations for their contributions to improving health care in Southeast Virginia. Entries will be selected by a panel of healthcare professionals. They will judge each nominee based on documented accomplishments.

The honorees will be formally celebrated during a recognition event in March at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. Additionally, all honorees will be profiled in a special themed-edition of Inside Business, both in print and online.

Each year, Inside Business recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations that are making a noteworthy difference in health care across Hampton Roads.

These awards epitomize the spirit embodied in the word “hero” in the delivery of health care to the community. The goals of the program are to recognize excellence, promote innovation, encourage emulation of successful programs, educate the general public, contribute to the enhancement of the value and quality of health care, and to give recognition to those deserving.

Entries will be judged on accomplishments in specific categories that you will find outlined later in the form. Nominees can only be submitted into one category.
